It started about six years ago, I had just started my fitness journey, and after a few months, I knew what I wanted to do. I had been working out for some time and wanted to go to the next step. I remember asking a few of the trainers in the gym what certifications they had? I wanted to go with the best, so I did my research. It wasn't too long after that I realized that NASM was the best option for me.
As I write this article, every gym in new york is closed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. If you're looking for a good workout, you're better off going to the park and doing some bodyweight exercises at home because gyms will be closed for some time. NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Monday, March 16th, that gyms would be shut down in hopes of decreasing the spread of the coronavirus. The mayor also shut down bars, restaurants, and any social gathering places. For the most part, you can still order take out from restaurants and grab yourself a drink. For many gym-goers, this is hard because we have a tough time getting through our week without exercising. Going to the gym is apart of us, and for me, at least keeps me together. Knowing that I can't work out or train my clients is hard, and the worse part is not knowing will this will end.
Every week I choose a health and fitness-related topic to write about, and I post it to my website if you've been following and keeping up with me, then you're fully aware of that. The reason why I write is to share my knowledge and inform people of this information who might find it useful. Another reason why I write is to help build my website and increase my exposure as well as get more potential clients to come my way for personal training. I do this because I have goals just like anyone else. If you want anything in life, then you have to work hard for it and stay focus.
Are you skinny fat? If you're reading this, then you probably are. It's perhaps the most frustrating fitness problem to have when it comes to reaching your goals. There you are with a skinny body, but you have a protruding stomach that won't go down. You're stuck between losing weight and gaining weight. You believe you should lose weight because of your stomach, and on the other hand, you want to gain weight because you are too thin. Talk about going insane and trying not to pull my hair out.
