Recently I was asked should you do cardio first or weight training first?
Generally, in the gym, you would see someone starting their workout on the treadmill, performing cardio anywhere from 30-60 mins.
Unfortunately, that has become a fitness trend. What you do first depends on your goal.
If your goal is overall fitness like working on your endurance, stamina or possibly preparing for a marathon, then cardio should be first.
if your goal is to build muscle and get stronger than weight training should be first.
The reason for that is because doing an intense cardio session before weights will leave you with less energy to perform the heavy lifting from weight training.
vice versa, doing the heavy lifting before cardio might make doing your cardio a lot harder.
you'll want to conserve your energy for the vital part of your exercise.
so go based on your goal, whether you switch things up or go by a plan, you'll be okay for the most part.
